Hey howdy hey, Buffy's looking to network with magical horses.
I want to preface this by saying if you've suggested something to me in the past and I never got back to you I most likely thought that I had responded (but only did so in my head), or was thinking it over and then got distracted and forgot - please please please remind me because I assure I would not have intentionally ignored you! If I didn't think that something would work I would have said, promise.
Drop me a comment/note/message on discord (BuffyandBramble#2952) - I'm best at keeping track of discord and notes, comments I lose too easily. I'm happy to brainstorm all sorts, everything below is just a guideline.
Looking to flesh out relationships and histories, but also for plots currently and in the future. Can be small things or longer-term things, writing or art. Forums are preferred for RP - I love writing but I'm rusty. I also ramble so please don't be intimidated if I make long posts, it's a bad habit of mine, just smack me.
Okay, so, on to the characters!
Farooq is a marauder, leader of the Kula gang, incredibly social, has a ridiculous sense of humour, and may just rob you blind.
Open to past, present, and future plots. If you're considering making a Water Bandit please feel free to hit me up as well, Farooq accepts most into the Kula Gang and absolutely needs some partners in crime. Before that he was a travelling vagabond (medic/mercenary) and has probably been most places. Spent a lot of time in Sedo when given the chance and kept a lot of company with saviors where he could to hone his skills, as well as windracers and screamers for gossip.
He's not yet well known as a Water Bandit so you can probably find him around most of Sedo. Fond of Cajon, probably fairly well known in Alya's Trident.
Farooq will:
*Take you up on any offer of a drink or party
*Flirt with your character
*Con/prank/rob your character
*Stir up trouble for the sake of it, and high tail it out of there if someone catches on to him
*Offer basic first aid to a stranger
*Act like an idiot
*Make up a ridiculous story about how he met Pookie
*Make awful dad jokes
*Gossip
*Coo over children
Farooq will not:
*Let on that he's smarter than he looks/is literate
*Maintain a serious relationship
*Actively encourage violence
*Land the first blow
*Ignore an injured person without good reason
Acorro is a skirmisher with a big heart and no brain. He means well, adores his familiar, and gets along with most folk. Fluent in Seroran sign.
Open to present and future plots, potentially some past plots depending on how they fit into his history, and tentatively open for romantic relationships - I'm picky on this front and am looking for something slow burn that can develop, I'm not so interested in drama-dates. Also, Acorro's a moron when it comes to love and will take a million years to realise feelings for anyone.
He's currently based around the Osulas ruins rather than with a triad, but will travel if asked and will semi-frequently visit Alhaj.
Acorro will:
*Be friendly with someone unless given an outright reason not to
*Help out when asked
*Spar/train with anyone
*Be lenient with teen delinquents so long as no one's getting hurt
*Be overly forgiving
*Lack common sense
*Be a bad example
*Miss the obvious
Acorro will not:
*Tolerate injustice
*Back down from a fight
*Take a hint (generally unintentional)
*Talk politics
Mullah in the Order of Sage, Altan hasn't got the greatest sense of humour but is incredibly patient, and long-suffering. Acorro's older brother, he can probably handle anything.
Open to past, present, and future plots. He has a wife and daughter that are available for adoption as well - Vivi (daughter) has a design and some info, his wife is a blank slate.
Currently based in Alhaj.
Altan will:
*Teach your character
*Talk politics with interest
*Answer any questions as best he can
*Take too long to reach a decision
*Internalise his feelings
*Lowkey geek out over books, religion, history, or politics
*Put up with way more crap than he should
Altan will not:
*Lose his temper
*Yield once he's drawn a line
*Tolerate slander or misinformation
*Get the joke
*Loosen up
Kawaru theatre-owner and ex-Umare. Tiny queen of snark that thinks the world is a mess and everyone's an idiot. Secretly sort-of fond of the Serorans, though definitely thinks they're all borderline crazy at the very least.
Open to past, present, and future relationships. Used to be a magi in the temple of Cascade, was briefly a monk when she switched factions, and recently embraced capitalism fully and opened up her theatre. She does a lot of networking.
Based in Sterling, middle district. Has traveled to Vasall previously but it's a long way so she doesn't do it often.
Oriole will:
*Assume you're an idiot
*Gossip
*Accidentally get too invested in your personal life
*Offer tough love/advice
*Switch up her demeanour depending on who she's talking too
*Snark at you once she's gotten to know you
*Manipulate a horse where it suits her too
*Be dramatic
*Bear a grudge
*Ethically abuse her blessing even though she told herself she wouldn't
Oriole will not:
*Tolerate prolonged idiocy
*Jeopardise herself for another
*Be metaphorically pushed around (physically she can't do much about it)
*Let you rip off a Seroran where she can see/hear you (unless they're an dick, then she'll help you)

[Free Art Raffle] 12 Days of Festive

So the festive season is basically upon us and I'm trying not to be a scrooge this year. As such, I've come up with a cunning plan...
12 Days of Festive is an art giveaway raffle, but with a twist.
There are 12 slots, all you need to do is reply to the comment below to enter into it: the prizes are 12 fullbody drawings of an equine in the above style. (Super complicated designs might end up as a partial body, I'll try not to but may as well warn you now.)
One entry per person, you don't have to be a watcher, share anything (though please fee free to do so!), tag anyone etc. Please just comment below!
I'll be draw the winners on 5/12/18 18:00 GMT and the drawings will be completed before Christmas providing I don't do something stupid like break my wrist.
However.
As I said, this has a twist. It's the season of giving so, if you win, you will be asking me to draw someone else's character. I'll keep things to notes once I've announced the winners so that it can be a surprise for them if you want.
Because its for someone else, all equine based characters are welcome - please make sure you know that whoever you are requesting the drawing for is happy with me drawing their character. I know most people are fine, but just in case!
Rules:
Gotta have us some rules.
1. Do not ask me to draw your own character, as that defies the purpose of this
2. Don't pester the winners to get them to request your character.
3. Please don't ask me to draw lewd, explicit, or culturally insensitive characters. I should be fine with most and I'll let you know if I'm not comfortable drawing a certain character but... yeah. Lets keep this PG13 people.
4. Reply to the relevant comment to ensure you're entered into the raffle! 1 entry per person.

SA Connections/Plots Wanted

Time to round up some friends/connections!
Acorro

Looking for:
Anything and everything. Friends, enemies, family relations, etc. Hit me up with suggestions! He also has two full siblings that I'm happy to adopt out on the off chance you're looking for new characters. (I even have skeleton notes on each and half a design.)
In terms of romantic relationships I'm not ruling them out, as one day he'd love a family, but he's a long term relationship kind of guy and I like these to develop through interaction to help them stick. That being said, by all means feel free to have your character flirt with him because odds are it will taken him a while to realise that's what's happening.
Really looking for:
Ultimately I want to get him more involved in the frontlines against Aodh. He's hung back with his family group for a while, but now he's itching to leave and actually tackle things head on, so he's ready to switch groups if there's one heading in that direction. Equally if there's a group that needs some muscle, he's happy to tag along.
He's also pretty set against Cascade since the whole thing with the Talori sacrifices, so if someone's pro-Cascade and wants to try talk it out with him, maybe highlight that she's not totally evil, that would be ace. He'll be obstinate to begin with but it's not usually in his nature to be quarrelsome so he should (mostly) come round. He'll not get over the fact she didn't stop the sacrifices, but it would be nice if he could see her good points again.

Allies and associates. She's not really one to use the word friend. (It takes a long time for you to reach that status.) She'll have just joined the Kawaru when I bring her in so she'd appreciate some support from fellow Kawaru, given that she's just left a more comfortable life to come and join you morons. She'll also be looking to find a place and learn some new skills as she was previously a magi and ceremonial assistance probably isn't the most useful of skills.
Umare contacts would be good too such as other magi or priests, so that I can work them into her history. I've haven't got a set temple that she's leaving yet.
I also have a future War Forged concept that I'm sitting on. In short, he's a young travelling merchant that plays rough, is cheeky, pushes his luck on a regular basis, and is too clever for his own good. He'd do a lot of trade with Aodh simply because he likes all their flashy stuff and he's a vain little monster that likes to prace about with all the sparklies and yes he should totally have all sorts of trinkets because it CLEARLY shows off his wealth as a merchant hence it's totally practical. Thinks he's a real ladies man and is determined to have fanciest harem of his own.
Family connections would be awesome, as I've not got a design (or even a breed) for him beyond him being chunky, scruffy, having too much hair, and a beard.
RPs would be amazing; I prefer forums because that's what I'm used to but I can always try something new.
General plots/histories etc are also awesome, no need to play them out.
